Beachin' it

I have my moments when I just want to escape to the beach. One of many perks of living in California. It was in the evening and the weather was a bit chilly, but a perfect time to go as there would be hardly anybody there. When we got there the sun was just setting, an incredible scene of tranquility. It was quiet, only the sounds of the ocean waves calmly settling. A couple people were there walking their dogs, something I would love to do one day when I have a puppy of my own. It just brings back memories of when I lived in Florida right along the beach and made random trips day and evening just to relax. I would walk along the shoreline and collect seashells, Florida coasts have the best seashells as well as warm waters. There were many times we would set up fishing poles along the coast and catch fish. I was such a beach girl. So yes, from time to time I do like to head to the beach and reminisce. Audrey loves the beach as well, we made sand castles and did cartwheels until we were dizzy. It was a wonderful evening with my loved ones.

Downtown Disney: ice skating

We had such a wonderful time at Down Town Disney, taking in the beautiful sights of Christmas, ice skating and enjoying fireworks. The ice rink was a lil' tough and Audrey was a bit frustrated she couldn't skate as well. I've noticed that when she cant master something she gets overly frustrated. She is an overachiever for sure, but this is something i'm trying to work with her on-not to get frustrated! The ice skating rink this year was decorated in theme of Olaf's Frozen adventure. Down Town Disney is beautiful this time of year, the holiday decorations and the many bands they have serenading you with music. We had dinner at one of my favorite places, Naples, which is an Italian restaurant and serves the best pizza and pasta! While we were there Audrey wanted to pick up some blind boxes, Disney addition. We headed back to our room and were pleasantly surprised to catch the Fireworks show right outside of our door and they were so close to us, I loved it! It was such a great night, beautiful memories shared with my loved ones ;)

Santa's coming to town!

Bass Pro Shop

Every time we pass by Bass Pro Shop, Audrey reminds me that Santa is there!
I know it is a bit early for Christmas celebrations and we shouldn't loose sight of Thanksgiving and its beautiful meaning, but I just cant help but fall into the Christmas spirit. I absolutely love this time of year! December is my favorite month due in part because my birthday is on new Years Eve. I love the winter season, the snow, the lights, the decorations, the warm and fuzzy feelings of love and joy. I have so much on my bucket list of things I want to do and cannot wait to experience it all with loved ones. Highlighting our trip to Bass Pro Shop, Audrey was not able to see Santa this time but she was so focused on wanting to write him a letter. By the way, her letter to Santa was the cutest thing even though I was not able to read it she did fill me in on what she wrote. She rode the carousel, made a felt reindeer and played a few games. We have plans to take pictures with Santa closer to December with her cousins. I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday spirit and lets not forget about giving thanks this Thursday.

DIY: Candle Jar turned container

For this project I used a candle from bath and body works, cleaned it out and stripped the labels. I sprayed the lid gold, as well as a toy tiger in which I hot glued to the top of the lid. I used a gold sharpie pen to write on the container. I made this container as a gift for a friend of mine who is expecting a baby boy. The baby's room is a lion king theme and this little tiger container would be perfect to hold things such as pacifiers, cotton balls, little clothes, etc.

Winter shopping

Okay, so the Winter weather has finally come upon us. I refused to buy any article of clothing for winter until it felt cool enough to do so. With California weather, you never know! Well, I was at Target and remembered why I need to stay out of there in the first place....Their clothes are just TOO CUTE! I honestly couldn't help myself. It also helps if you have the Cartwheel app, which gives you discounts on select items, like coats and boots. Happy Holidays!

Audreys current obsession:blind bags

Audrey has been watching toy collectors on YouTube for quite some time now. I have even found myself caught up in the excitement of what toys they will reveal day by day. Her fascination lies with the Blind Bags and Blind Boxes they collect. You have a series to collect from and each bag/box has a "surprise" toy inside. They could be in boxes, bags or even chocolate egg surprises. I think the reason why Audrey loves them so much is not only the surprise but unwrapping items. I caught her unwrapping products that I bought at the store and pretending like she was unwrapping a surprise. It's almost like kids who cant wait to unwrap presents during Christmas time. For her, it is taken to a whole new level! For now, I think it's adorable.
Barnes and Nobles have tons of mystery minis, as well a collection of toys from different TV Series. Pictured above are American Horror Story, Buffy, True Blood, etc.

A case of the 'Mondays'

All Smiles :)  -Cassandra and Cristalina

So today at work as we were having our morning meeting it was apparent that a lot of us were having a "case of the Mondays." My dear friend Jessica was having such a bad morning already and when other people aren't feeling 100% it really makes my heart hurt. I love how our office bands together and pours our love to those who need it. Our morning meetings are my favorite time of day as we share a lot of laughs and play catch-up. It's extremely important to start your day with positive energy and that also consists of the energy of those around you. I have a goofy personality and I love to make people laugh so if I see sad faces or people not in the best of moods I will definitely have you smiling in no time! We went to lunch for Pho and overall today has been such a great day!
God is good!

Birthday fun at the skating rink

Today was Audrey's friend Emma's birthday party. We went ice skating for a couple hours and boy was it freezing in there! I think I underestimated how it would actually be. Once you're out there running around u get warm so it was fine after a while. We enjoyed some hot chocolate during down time. The ice was pretty easy to skate on and even though Audrey was frustrated at first she got the hang of it towards the end and didn't want to get off the ice. It was so cute to see her with her older friends. She likes to copy them, it's pretty funny....So mature for her age.  She's still my little 4yr. Old and I like it that way ;)

It felt good to be back out there on skates cuz it's been quite some time now. I have a feeling we'll be making lots of trips to the ice skating rink this year ;)

Welcoming November

Today was such a beautiful day! The weather was perfect for fall. It started off with some A.M rain and even though the sun was playing peekaboo through the clouds, it wasn't too cold but just cool enough to step out in layered clothes. I love to be bundled up during this season, it's officially time to go shopping :) The only thing i dont like about this season is being under the weather. I feel like each year it gets worse for me. My sinuses are the worst. Im currently sick at the moment so much rest is needed this weekend.

What I loved most about today was the fresh air and the beautiful sights in the sky of clouds and mountains. I'm so blessed to live in an area where the landscape is to die for!

Welcome, November!
