Aquarium of the Pacific

Our adventures last weekend took us to Long Beach to the Aquarium of the Pacific. It's been a while since we have both been. I think Audrey was 1 at the time. It was surprisingly pretty warm last weekend and Audrey really enjoyed the little water playground they had. I cant keep her away from water! It was a little frustrating having the stroller because while its packed you can barely move around people to take a look at the enclosures. I think Audrey is almost at that age where a stroller is just not necessary. Unless it's Disney where there is tons of walking, I could understand that. I think my favorite part of the day was eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp! So yummy! Another beautiful day in our neighborhood!

Beach Babies!

So this past weekend was another fun filled day, full of spontaneous events. We started off our day with morning Gymnastics, followed by a big lunch at our favorite spot: Joe's Crab Shack. Audrey loves to eat there, as she can play on the playground while we eat on the deck. We randomly decided to hit the beach for some evening fun. It doesn't matter what time of day or the weather, Audrey loves to swim and will take a dip. I think she's absolutely nuts! It brings back memories of my Florida days as a child. I practically lived at the beach. Morning and nights are my favorite time. The Beau and I have noticed that we always catch a sunset every time we go to the beach. Always!

We then decided we didn't want to leave. Always the hardest part of the day. Well, we decided to stay out in Newport and make the most of it :) Epic weekend as usual with my little fam.

He always surprises me with little things like this. Is he not the cutest!

New Years Eve: my bday

I had the pleasure of spending New Years Eve (my birthday) out in Newport with my Beau for a few days. I am in love with fireworks, so we headed to Downtown Disney to check them out at midnight. I enjoyed ringing in the New Year with my love. I missed not being with family this year, but that is the hard part of having a birthday on a major holiday. It was nice to get away and just relax for a few days. Im very adventurous and enjoy being out and about, but I also enjoy those lazy days where you're just cuddled up watching movies doing absolutely nothing without a care in the world. You absolutely have to have those moments! Its important to stop and enjoy the small things.  Pictures are to follow.....

Cake, Cake, Cake, Cake, Cake
The tapas (Spanish finger foods) my mom made at home. Im jealous I missed out on these.

Yes, we get each other.

Fireworks show, midnight kiss.

Christmas Surprises

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I know my post is rather late, but better late then never, right? I have been quite busy enjoying my time with loved ones as of lately that I have fallen behind on my posts. Christmas for us was all about Audrey! There was nothing else that I wanted, just to see my little girls eyes light up from all of the magic....

I got this neat little gadget from a dear friend. It is magnetic and you stick it in your chimney. Once your turn on the switch it plays noises of Santa and and Rudolph. It is the cutest thing ever! Audrey actually thought Santa was about to come down the Chimney. I love this thing!

I used baby powder to simulate Santa's foot steps coming out of the chimney! Wow, looks like he left a little something behind for Audrey...

ShyLeigh made her grand exit from the scene! She will be back next year. Audrey to this day keeps asking for her. Sorry little one.

Audrey's custom made gymnastics bar :) We spend lots of hours in the garage on this thing!

Shining Star: little gymnast

I was extremely excited when I received a call that Audrey would be receiving an award for Shining Star for the quarter. She has worked so hard in class and you notice right away how well-behaved she is. She listens to coach, sits quietly, waits her turn and gives 100%. Mommy is so proud of you Audrey. I have seen your progress and cannot wait to see you future unfold as a gymnast.

Audrey has her picture posted on the wall. Her favorite routine is the bars!
